New World leveling exploit South Park Easter egg

New World leveling ‘exploit’ could be a South Park Easter egg

Amazon Game Studios’ New World might contain a big reference to the classic “Make Love, Not Warcraft” South Park episode. In the TV show, the cast level up their World of Warcraft characters by killing in-game boars. Now, New World players are gathering in the Boarsholm area of the Restless Shore region to kill an endless supply of boars for experience points. While some label it a New World leveling exploit, due to the hugely inflated mob respawn rates in the area, others believe it’s an intentional South Park Easter egg.

New World Leveling ‘Exploit’: Level up fast with the South Park Easter egg

Here’s how to level up fast by killing boars with the New World South Park Easter egg:

  1. Gather a group of players looking to level up fast in New World.
  2. Travel to the Boarsholm camp in the Restless Shore region of the map.
  3. Start attacking boars — dealing significant damage grants experience, users don’t need to land the killing blow.
  4. Keep farming boar kills to earn 30,000 to 50,000 XP in an hour the easy way.

Boarsholm is a level 44 area, though players can (carefully) start farming there much earlier as part of a group.

Some players — like YouTuber Video Game DataBank, who popularized the trick — consider this to be an exploit. Even if the respawn rate isn’t intentional, it seems unlikely that legitimately farming mobs would be punishable in the future. Still, it’s something to consider before farming experience points to level up fast in New World using this method.

Many other players believe that the New World Boarsholm leveling method is intentional and totally valid. In fairness, a respawn timer “glitch” exclusively impacting boars in an area named Boarsholm does seem a bit fishy; there are clear parallels to the popular South Park WoW episode, after all.

In other news, playing Back 4 Blood solo is a massive handicap. Battlefield 2042 encourages users to report other players, helping to ensure that the experience is welcoming for everyone. Meanwhile, the disjointed tone of Far Cry 6 is highlighted by its controversial cockfighting minigame.
