Amazon Game Studios announced the launch window of its first PC release in a trailer at The Game Awards 2019. New World, an MMO set in a fictionalized version of the 17th century, will release in May 2020.
New World takes players to the Age of Exploration and pits them against the elements and each other as they attempt to colonize Aeternum, a mysterious island. Massive battles are what set this game apart from other MMOs, as up to 100 players can take the field for combat. New World is meant to be very open, and players can join together to form Companies and build strongholds, or go it solo and own and customize smaller dwellings.
You can pre-order New World right now on the official website. Those who pre-order will get access to the closed beta in April 2020, a Fist Bump emote, a guild crest set, the Expedition One unique title, and Isabella’s amulet.
