call of duty vanguard permanently banned

Call of Duty: Vanguard is permanently banning Warzone cheaters

Some beta players are reporting a Call of Duty: Vanguard ‘permanently banned’ message in the latest CoD game, despite never having played Vanguard before. It seems that a Call of Duty: Vanguard beta ban will apply to the main game, so these players are undoubtedly concerned why they have been banned and cannot play the new Call of Duty — and it looks like it has to do with them being issued a Warzone ban.

Why am I ‘permanently banned’ in Call of Duty: Vanguard?

If players are receiving an error message saying that they have been permanently banned from playing Call of Duty: Vanguard, it is likely because they are banned on the Warzone servers already. Vanguard, including the currently-running beta, seems to be using the same anti-cheat software as Call of Duty: Warzone — which also means that if a player is hardware ID banned in that game, the ban is carried over to the Vanguard beta and will apply to the main game when that comes out in November.

The error message reads “connection failed: you have been permanently banned from playing on the Call of Duty: Vanguard servers” along with a link to Activision’s policy on the matter.

How to get unbanned in Call of Duty: Vanguard

The only way to undo this ban, if someone is receiving this error message, and be able to play Call of Duty: Vanguard is to submit a support ticket to Activision and hope that they can undo the ban. There are players who report having their accounts hacked getting banned, and they will have to go through the support process too.

For everyone else, it looks like Activision is coming down hard on Call of Duty cheaters, so it’s probably best not to do it. Ever.
