It looks like a The Batman Fortnite crossover may have just been revealed, bringing the Robert Pattinson Batman movie to Fortnite in 2022 with a full announcement in October. The news comes via a trailer for the DC Fandome 2021 event being held on October 16, which also confirmed that the eagerly-awaited Gotham Knights and Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad would be there — while sneaking in a quick announcement of a Fortnite/The Batman movie 2022 crossover.

The DC Fandome 2021 event for October just got a big update over on its website along with a new trailer detailing the DC Comics projects that’ll be at the show, and the mid-point of the trailer has seemingly leaked (or announced) a crossover event between The Batman 2022 movie and Epic’s Fortnite — which will probably happen next year alongside the movie and could well bring Robert Pattinson’s Batman to the battle royale.

A crossover between The Batman movie and Fortnite seems highly likely. Idris Elba’s Bloodsport character appeared in Fortnite this month with a crossover with The Suicide Squad movie, and Batman already has several skins in Fortnite. The Batman will definitely be at DC Fandome 2021 too, as it’s probably going to be the biggest part of the show given it’s both the next Batman movie and the next upcoming theatrical DC Comics movie, and was supposed to release this year until it got delayed due to the pandemic — just like every other major movie this year.

A Fortnite tie-in for The Batman movie would also make a lot of sense given the movie seems to be aiming for more of a PG-13 rating, and it already looks like there will be LEGO sets for it as well. As for Fortnite, it’s already been in the news today twice with Fortnite Crew Legacy and the Fortnite 17.50 update rolling out, complete with the usual leaks and datamines.

DC Fandome 2021 will be held on October 16, so fans will hear more about this crossover then — if not before.
