Infantry Rifle and Shockwave Grenades vaulted in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7: Invasion is finally here. Epic Games’ latest update includes tons of new content, though players have to take the rough with the smooth. Several popular weapons have made their way to the vault, leaving them completely inaccessible in battle royale matches. The Infantry Rifle and Shock Grenades are two of the more surprising removals, though they’re far from the only victims.

Here’s a complete Fortnite Season 7 vaulted weapons list:

  • Uncommon Infantry Rifle
  • Rare Infantry Rifle
  • Epic Infantry Rifle
  • Legendary Infantry Rifle
  • Common Revolver
  • Uncommon Revolver
  • Rare Revolver
  • Epic Revolver
  • Legendary Revolver
  • Shockwave Grenades
  • Harpoon Gun
  • Dual Pistols

As ever, a lot of Fortnite fans aren’t too happy about the changes. Much of the controversy relates to the removal of the Infantry Rifle, which was a favorite amongst players. Although the weapon wasn’t all that popular when it first hit, users eventually came around to it. Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has praised the gun as potentially the best in-game assault rifle, even calling it a “better AK.”

Some users aren’t happy about saying goodbye to the Revolver, Shockwave Grenade, and Dual Pistols either. The Harpoon Gun doesn’t appear to have many mourners, though it’s always sad to see a fun firearm go regardless. As a silver lining, users are still able to pull weapons from the vault in Creative mode. Additionally, there’s always a chance that the vaulted Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 guns will return to battle royale in a later update.

Get all of the details regarding Epic Games’ new Fortnite Invasion patch right here. Season 7 only adds the former half of Rick and Morty’s titular duo, though it does manage to make up for that.

There’s still plenty of time to work through the latest Fortnite Battle Pass, but don’t delay  —  the new season won’t last forever.
