AEW Elite GM will mark the return of the wrestling general management simulation later this year. The popular game mode has been absent from WWE titles since SmackDown vs. Raw 2008, despite being a firm fan favorite. Now, however, All Elite Wrestling is stepping in with a standalone game to fill the void. Following the April 15 AEW Games 2.Show live stream, here’s the latest on the AEW Elite GM release date and platforms.
When is the AEW Elite GM release date?
AEW Elite GM is releasing worldwide in 2021. According to AEW referee and mobile games developer, Aubrey Edwards, it’s a “little too soon” to provide an exact All Elite Wrestling Elite General Manager release date right now. Edwards did hint that the May 2021 AEW Games 2.Show stream will have a “pretty big announcement” on that front, though.
AEW Elite General Manager runs on Epic Games’ Unreal Engine and features fully 3D environments. Despite this, the mobile game renders its pro wrestlers in 2D. According to Edwards, this was a necessary production decision. With every single wrestler on the AEW roster represented in-game, there’s “a lot of art” in AEW Elite GM.
What are the AEW Elite GM platforms?
AEW Elite GM is coming to iOS and Android. When the game launches later this year, users can download and play All Elite Wrestling Elite General Manager on iPhone, iPad, and Android smartphones and tablets.
Currently, there have been no announcements concerning possible AEW Elite GM console and PC ports. That means no PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC versions for the time being.
