Pokémon Developer Game Freak’s New Game Is…

Less than a week ago, the studio behind Pokémon dropped a teaser on its official website, hinting that some sort of new collaboration would be revealed in the not so distant future.

Game Freak has now revealed its latest project, but I doubt it was what you were expecting. Ever thought of mixing horse racing and solitaire together? Yeah, me neither, but that's precisely what the developer's new 3DS title is.

The game is called Solitiba, and it's scheduled to release in Japan on July 31st. As the crazy concept suggests, players are tasked with both playing a game of solitaire and directing the path of their race horse. The better he/she does at the card game, the better the horse will race.

There's currently no word on whether or not this game will be launching anywhere outside of Japan, so stay tuned for news on a western release. That said, would you be interested in this insanely strange 3DS eShop title? Let us know in the comments below.
