13 Minutes Of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Open-World Gameplay

Ubisoft released this 13 minute open-world gameplay walkthrough of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, complete with commentary from Game Director Ashraf Ismail.

In the gameplay above, Edward Kenway grabs a mission from a fishing village, chases down a target on the high seas, boards and loots the enemy ship, and then finds a treasure map on a dead man's chest.

All said, it's clear that the Assassin's Creed brand is moving further and further from the focus on its narrative to hunt down exciting open-world gameplay that changes the further you go. The random storms, faction ship battles, and wide variety of high-seas activities will present an incredibly complete picture for the life and times of Edward Kenway. I just can't help but wonder where the modern-day storyline goes from here.
