The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series new details

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series visual enhancements and bonus features showcased

Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Games has released a new trailer for its upcoming compilation, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series, a five-game collection that compiles every episode of ill-fated developer Telltale Games’ zombie apocalypse adventure series. A new trailer also showed off the The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series visual enhancements as well as a whole host of new bonus features. Now that the comic books have run their course, it should be plenty to keep away the blues until The Walking Dead TV show returns to AMC this October.

Featuring all four main seasons, the 400 Days DLC episode, and mini-series The Walking Dead: Michonne  (where, it should be noted, Danai Gurira does not reprise her role), the visual enhancements look to mirror those made in The Final Season, which Skybound Games stepped in to complete earlier this year. In doing so, the prior games takes on bolder line work and an altered color palate to make them aesthetically more consistent with the graphic novel style that originally inspired them.

ALSO: The Walking Dead The Final Season will continue

Where all-new content is concerned, The Telltale Definitive Series will exclusively feature developer commentary, a “TWD: Docushort,” a music player allowing you to enjoy the soundtrack at your leisure, a concept art gallery, and an animated 3D model viewer. That’s a lot to make like a zombie and sink your teeth into.

Pre-orders for The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series are available now, with the collection available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC via the controversial Epic Games Store. As well as being available digitally, the console versions are set to receive a physical release come the launch date of September 10. The Protector, Guardian, and Signature Packs, which are progressively more expensive collector’s editions, are unfortunately no longer available, so you’ll have to settle for the standard edition.
