The Metal Wolf Chaos XD launch trailer is here and it’s got more cheese than Wisconsin. Metal Wolf Chaos was always a silly game, and Devolver Digital is paying its due to this early FromSoftware title with an equally silly trailer that truly highlights the majesty of American battle mecha.
In Metal Wolf Chaos XD, players take on the role of Michael Wilson, the President of the United States of America. The country is suffering through a terrible time and confidence in his administration is shaken, causing Vice President Richard Hawk leading the military in a coup d’etat. There’s only one clear solution to this problem: pilot a gigantic battle mech and fight your way across the country, liberating captured cities from the grips of these traitors.

The Metal Wolf Chaos XD launch trailer opens with President Michael Wilson addressing the American People from the Oval Office. As he is giving the address, a battle mech and five helicopters approach the White House. Several tanks breach the fence by running it over and soldiers approach the building on foot. Finally, the Vice President’s battle mech touches down and the President is alerted to the coup d’etat, screaming “Richard!” and activating a battle mech of his own.
The President then bursts out of the oval office, shouting “Let’s party!” and firing a barrage of ordnance at the Vice President and troops on the ground. The President and Vice President approach closer and closer to one another, screaming fiercely as their mecha approach one another with an American flag in the background. It is here that the trailer concludes with a title drop.
