PlayStation Spring Sale

PlayStation Spring Sale has started in Europe, discounts big 2018 releases

The PlayStation Spring Sale has kicked off in Europe today. The spring sale offers some significant discounts on the best games of 2018 as well as a whole host of other titles. The notable games include Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and Far Cry New Dawn. Grand Theft Auto 5 Premium Online Edition also gets a big reduction.

Other recent games, like Detroit: Become Human, to more niche offerings like From Software’s Deracine are also featured. The sale will run until May 1, but PlayStation advises that some games will be removed before then, while some other games will be added before the sale concludes. For the games mentioned above: Marvel’s Spider-Man is now priced at £32.24 (€36.49), Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is £27.24 (€31.49), and Far Cry New Dawn Deluxe Edition is now priced at £24.99 (€29.99).

The Spring Sale is full of remasters and special editions of popular games. Ubisoft’s Far Cry 3 and Watch Dogs 2 titles are included in their special edition forms. Naughty Dog’s full set of Uncharted releases are in the sale, including Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. The Spring Sale extends to PlayStation Video (Sony’s Movie and TV service). In the PlayStation Video sale, you can get your hands-on movies like Deadpool 2 and John Wick: Chapter 2 at a discounted rate.

PlayStation has started off its new fiscal year with a lot of announcements. On Monday, Sony revealed PlayStation customers would be able to cancel pre-orders and receive refunds from now on. They will also have 14 days to return any digital purchases as long as they have not been downloaded or streamed. PlayStation then announced its line-up for PlayStation Now in April. The games streaming service has added Metal Gear Solid 5 and classic PS2 Star Wars games.

While Spring Sale discounts may please PlayStation fans, they did not seem all too happy with Sony’s attempt at a livestream event for new games. At the end of last month, PlayStation held its first State of Play event to build excitement for some of its upcoming titles.
