PlayStation Now April 2019

New PlayStation Now April 2019 Games include Metal Gear Solid 5 and Star Wars PS2 cult classics

The PlayStation Now April 2019 games have been announced, and Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain rightfully tops the bill, all but completing the saga on PS Now. Alongside Big Boss’ PS4 adventure is the prologue Ground Zeroes and a handful of Star Wars PS2 games that you’re probably aching to try out again. The full list of both the US and UK April 2019 PS Now catalogue can be found down below.

First up, the US side of things. As per the US PlayStation blog, nine games are coming to the service starting from today. They are as follows:

  • Bang Bang Racing
  • Clouds & Sheep 2
  • DiRT 4
  • Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
  • Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
  • Shadow Complex Remastered
  • Star Wars: Bounty Hunter
  • Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter
  • Star Wars: Racer Revenge

Things don’t differ too much across the pond, though the UK gets a different rally game, WRC 5, for its troubles. Don’t worry, though, the marquee names remain the same:

  • Chronicles of Teddy: Harmony of Exidus
  • WRC 5 Fia World Rally Championship
  • Star Wars Bounty Hunter
  • Star Wars Jedi Starfighter
  • Star Wars Racer Revenge
  • Shadow Complex Remastered
  • Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom
  • Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
  • Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes
  • Grand Kingdom

If you’re a little late to the party, those Star Wars games, all PS2 titles of good-to-middling quality, can be downloaded directly to your PS4 with absolutely no input lag or latency issues to speak of.

So, if you’re a huge Star Wars or MGS fan, then PS Now is fast becoming your go-to destination. Guns of the Patriots arrived on the service earlier this year alongside the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection consisting of both the second and third mainline entries in the series and the original two Metal Gear games. Now, if we can get the original Metal Gear Solid PS1 classic on the service then we might as well start a petition to rename it MGS Now. Who’s with me?
