Sniper Elite V2 Remastered

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered reveal trailer showcases 4K HDR

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered reveal trailer has shown up on the Xbox YouTube page. The video reminds players of all the best bits of Sniper Elite V2 but with a new 4K and HDR coat of paint. The trailer invites the player to return to Berlin to experience an updated version of the popular sniping game.

“It’s time to return to Berlin.” Sniper Elite V2 Remastered reveal trailer sees the camera zoom through the game’s familiar German setting. The opening rating card promises “Blood and Gore [and] Intense Violence,” and that’s exactly what we get. The tour stops off at the sniper dispatching an enemy with hand to hand combat before taking us up to a lookout. We get a glimpse at Sniper Elite’s unique sniping visuals. The sniper looks down snipes and dispatches a gunner, we see the bullet approach in nail-biting slow-motion before seeing it enter the enemy in x-ray vision.

The trailer promises 4K and HDR support for Sniper Elite V2 Remastered. However, the video’s description does clarify that Xbox One X is required for 4K and HDR is available on supported platforms. Along with added 4K and HDR support, the remaster will feature new playable characters as well as a frame-by-frame photo mode to truly marvel at your long-range sniping skills “and more.” The remaster will also include all the downloadable content released for the original game.

Elsewhere in remastered game news, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds recently revealed its maps would be getting revamped. The first map to be updated will be Erangel. Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered was also recently included in the PS Plus games for March.

The trailer ends with the stated release date, “2019.” Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will be released on the Xbox One and PC. Our review of the original title gave it a rating of 3/5.
