For Honor‘s new Assassin’s Creed crossover event is available now. The event, dubbed For the Creed, runs through January 10 on the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 versions of the game. The For Honor Assassin’s Creed event is the first crossover for Ubisoft Montreal’s 2017 action game.
For the Creed adds Assassin’s Creed II‘s Ezio Auditore and Cesare Borgia, his nemesis from Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood as battle commanders. A new special version of the Dominion game mode also pits Assassins against Templars. This version of the Dominion mode brings these special commanders to the battlefield when certain capture zones are controlled. Defeating a commander is a difficult challenge, but doing so nets 300 points to the victorious team. For the Creed’s Dominion mode has a 1,000 point score limit, and the first team to reach that limit and defeat all enemies win.
The three maps available during For the Creed received a host of visual changes to fit the crossover. Assassin and Templar banners are strewn throughout the map, and team minions now represent the proper faction from Assassin’s Creed. Oh, and all falling attacks are air assassinations.
The crossover event also brings a number of rewards to For Honor. For starters, the event brings new music, a revised main menu, a new announcer, and the aforementioned Assassin’s Creed theme. A number of new emblems, weapons, effects, and outfit items are also available as loot drops. Unlockable items include an outfit based on armor from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and more.
Ubisoft teased the event yesterday with the iconic “Nothing is true, everything is permitted” phrase. The For Honor Assassin’s Creed event comes a few months after Ubisoft released the For Honor Marching Fire expansion. Marching Fire added a new PVP mode called Breach, and introduced a whole new faction—the Wu Lin.
