Nintendo has finally revealed its games lineup for Gamescom 2018, which will be taking place this month from August 21 to August 25, 2018. There will be a total of eight playable games at the upcoming event, which includes Super Mario Party, which was originally announced at E3 2018 in June. Lucky attendees will be the first in the world to have the opportunity of playing the highly-anticipated game.
As revealed by Nintendo on its official European website, visitors to the company’s booth in Hall Nine at the Gamescom 2018 venue will get the chance to play over five brand new minigames featured in Super Mario Party. It will bring back the original board game mode, in which four players will race to collect Stars. The game is slated to be released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on October 5, 2018.
Other playable titles include Super Smash Bros Ultimate, FIFA 19, Dark Souls Remastered, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Starlink: Battle For Atlas and Killer Queen Atlas. We already know that the Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Ball FighterZ will be playable at Gamescom 2018, thanks to Bandai Namco’s lineup announcement last month.
Gamers who won’t be able to attend Gamescom 2018 will still have something to look forward to from Nintendo. The company has revealed that its official YouTube channel will be showing pre-recorded but brand new gameplay footage from games like Super Mario Party, Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country, Daemon Ex Machina, and more.
Bandai Namco has also confirmed it will be announcing at least one new game at Gamescom 2018, and more Life Is Strange 2 details might be revealed at the upcoming event. Additionally, Capcom has confirmed that there will be a playable demo of Devil May Cry 5, alongside new story details. Here’s hoping that the event turns out to be filled with pleasant surprises for us all.
