US Court Orders Silicon Knights To Destroy All Unsold Copies Of UE3 Games

As the case between Silicon Knights and Epic Games rages on, the situation only gets worse for the Canadian game developer.

A new court ruling has ordered the destruction of all unsold copies of titles that Silicon Knights has developed using Unreal Engine 3, namely Too Human and X-Men: Destiny. In addition, Epic's jury award was doubled from $4.5 million to $9 million.

Silicon Knights is now no longer allowed to use "Licensed Technology" from Epic Games and has until December 10th to remove any code that was built using the company's tech. Joystiq reached out to Epic for comment to which the company replied: "Epic Games appreciates the court's careful consideration of the motion and is gratified by the order."
