WWE 2K19 Pre-Order Leak Shows Ronda Rousey as Bonus Character

If you’ve been on the fence about pre-ordering WWE 2K19, perhaps this leak will help you with that decision. Leading up to the launch of WWE 2K19 there has been much speculation regarding the addition of the former UFC fighter Ronda Rousey to the WWE 2K franchise. Thanks to a Microsoft Store leak, the speculation is over. This leak all but confirms that Ronda Rousey is a big part of WWE 2K19 and we have the details.

Ronda Rousey will be featured as a pre-order bonus character according to a Microsoft Store leak that has since been removed. Prior to the removal, the WWE 2K19 pre-order page description read, “She’s the Baddest Woman on the Planet”. The description went on to provide an actual Rousey name drop, “Pre-order WWE 2K19 to play as both Rey Mysterio and “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey.”

Don’t take our work for it. See the screenshot below from the Microsoft Store that clearly shows the leaked information:

There hasn’t been an official announcement regarding Rousey in WWE 2K19 and the closest hint has been a teaser mentioning a “second Pre-Order Bonus offering will be announced later this summer.” Rousey joins two other superstars including Rey Mysterio who was recently announced as a WWE 2K19 pre-order bonus character along with AJ Styles who is on the game cover and a pre-order bonus character.

Ronda Rousey has been in the headlines lately but not related to her pro wrestling career. Just this weekend she was honored with an induction into the UFC hall of fame for her impressive title run and unprecedented popularity. Her superstar status exceeds her mixed martial arts career and is widely considered a pioneer for women’s mixed martial arts. Ronda Rousey debuted in the WWE back in April of this year at WrestleMania 34.

WWE 2K19 is available to pre-order right now with a release dates of October 5 for the $90 Deluxe Edition and $130 Collector’s Edition, with a later release date of October 9 for the $60 Standard Edition. WWE 2K19 is available for PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. The pre-order versions are available in either physical or digital formats with the exception of the Collector’s Edition, which is available in physical format only.

In case you’re wondering, a report has just surfaced indicating 2K Sports will not release a version of WWE 2K19 for the Nintendo Switch. Reasons for the decision were not given, but with all the complaints and poor reviews for the Nintendo Switch WWE 2K18 release, 2K Sports went the safe route rather than risking another under-performing release.
