2K’s Teen-Horror Thriller The Quarry Gets a Debut Trailer

The Quarry, a new teen-horror thriller developed by Supermassive Games and published by 2K, has received a debut trailer showcasing a star-studded cast. According to the description of the short trailer, the game will feature nine teenage counselors facing a night of horror on the last night of summer camp.

What The Quarry Debut Trailer reveals

While the developers of the successful Until Dawn series are keeping details close to the chest, the debut trailer still shows quite a lot in two and a half minutes.

It opens with the chief counselor, voiced by David Arquette, frustrated that his vehicle won’t start, forcing the other teenage counselors to stay overnight at the camp’s lodge. The impressive voice cast will also include Ariel Winter, Justice Smith, Brenda Song, Halston Sage, and scream queen Lin Shaye.

How the nine camp counselors ultimately survive the horror-filled night at Hackett’s Quarry Summer Camp will depend on your actions. Whether you investigate a trap door, look into screams in the nearby forest, or save a friend (or run away instead) will likely alter the ending.

Interestingly, The Quarry can be played with up to 7 other players who can vote on key decisions made throughout the game. It will also allow you all to “play together in a party horror couch co-op experience where each player picks a counselor and controls their actions.”

The game will have multiple difficulty settings to match the skill level of your group. That said, you don’t have to “play” the game at all by turning on Movie Mode and watching the story unfold.

The Quarry is Rated M and is planned to release on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC on June 10 this year. Those who pre-order the game will receive the Horror History Visual Filter Pack that turn the title into various genres of horror like black-and-white and 80’s horror.

The other news, the Resident Evil Netflix Series will be arriving just a month after in July, and Sony has finally responded to misconduct allegations in the PlayStation sexism lawsuit.
