Miiverse Is A Priority For Nintendo, Will Be Fully Detailed In Upcoming Presentation

Soon enough, Miiverse will no longer be a mystery.

Nintendo's latest investor Q&A gave company President Satoru Iwata the opportunity to share that the future of the company's online experiences, or more specifically Miiverse, will be fully detailed in an upcoming presentation.

As it would take me a long time to elaborate on "Miiverse" here, we are currently preparing a Nintendo Direct video to explain about it in detail before the launch of Wii U. Please let me tell you why Nintendo is making a strong effort for "Miiverse," how it will change our platforms and how it will relate to smart devices.

According to Iwata, Miiverse's most important goal is to promote social networking for Nintendo fans who want to share their experiences with others. In an effort to go beyond the framework set by Microsoft and Sony, the service is being built to support PCs, smartphones, and tablets so interaction can stem beyond Nintendo devices.

One thing Iwata shared that everyone should be happy about is that Friend Codes will not be used for Miiverse. It's presently unknown if the current system will be tossed in favor of its more modern successor, but it's safe to say that it should.

Stay tuned for the upcoming Nintendo Direct video that details Miiverse which should arrive shortly before the Wii U's launch date of November 18th.
