GTA Online Nightclubs Update Coming Soon

As Rockstar Games teased last month, GTA Online nightclubs are finally making their way to the Grand Theft Auto 5‘s multiplayer. Coming at some undisclosed time in July, players will be able to manage their own club from setup to promotion in order to launder their dirty money. Famous DJs have also been added and will be playing their sets in these new clubs.

In their blog post, Rockstar unveiled a few sparse details on the mode. Wannabe club owners will be able to run their on the ground level and manage the setup, design, staffing and promotion for each big night. More successful clubs rake in more cash and that honest money will help wash out the blood from your more ill-gotten gains. Rockstar teased a way to get on the “Guest List” and earn exclusive gear but did not state how or when players can get these rewards.

The GTA Online nightclubs update will also bring live sets from at least four different EDM DJs. Solomun, Tale Of Us, Dixon, and The Black Madonna have all been confirmed to have new sets and music for the update. Each has been modeled in the game, as shown in the trailer Rockstar put out. These artists all fit the nightclub vibe of the update and look like they will be performing their sets with their in-game avatars. Rockstar has not confirmed any other musicians or songs, but Metro Area’s Miura plays during the trailer.

GTA Online‘s frequent updates have kept the game alive almost five years later. Take-Two Interactive, the game’s publisher, announced that Grand Theft Auto 5 had sold a staggering 95 million copies as of March 2018 following the launch of the Premium Online Edition. The microtransactions in GTA Online have been a big factor of the game’s success. Take-Two stated that GTA Online yielded “better-than-expected results” last month in their financial conference call.
