The Division 2 E3 2018 Preview

E3 2018: The Division 2 Raids and Free Year of DLC Revealed by Ubisoft

The Division 2 raids and endgame content has been revealed by Ubisoft during its E3 2018 presentation. The endgame, which was one of the most heavily criticized elements of the original game, will be overhauled this time around with up to eight players able to take on raids after completing the main game. After completing the story, players will be able to choose from one of three unique specialized classes and take on extra challenges alongside their friends.

Ubisoft has said that it listened to criticisms of the first game, and that it will be bringing a free year of DLC filled with three major title updates throughout its first year on sale. This is intended to keep an active player base, giving those who play things to do long after launch.

The Division 2 raids

The Division 2 will be set in Washington, DC, after the events of the first game. It will see players trying to fight back against a devastating virus that has forced humanity into a post-apocalyptic world, with your decisions affecting the world around you. The addition of raids should give players a lot more to do this time around, with the original game suffering from a significant drop-off despite Ubisoft putting in the effort to maintain its player base after launch.

Raids will certainly give players an incentive to return, while the addition of three unique specialized glasses after the campaign has concluded should offer additional variety, giving players a reason to return to the campaign after completion in order to experience all three unique classes.

Ubisoft didn’t reveal any details regarding a potential PvP mode similar to the first game’s Dark Zone, though it did show off a new cinematic trailer revealing some more elements of the game’s story.
