Ni No Kuni 2 Sales Reach Almost a Million Units, Soundtrack Releasing Soon

Bandai Namco Entertainment and Level-5 have announced that Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom has exceeded 900,000 in units sold. The JRPG was originally released on the PS4 and PC in March 2018 as a sequel to the first game, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of The White Witch. That’s not all, though, as Bandai has also revealed another milestone, as well as a surprise for fans of the game.

As reported by 4Gamer, the total cumulative amount of sales for the entire Ni No Kuni franchise, comprising of only two games, has reached 2.8 million units worldwide. We reported back in April that Ni No Kuni 2 had already generated 60 percent more revenue than the first game in the US. All of this means great news for fans of the series, as it increases the possibility of more sequels in the future.

Ni No Kuni 2: Original Soundtrack

The developer and publisher of Ni No Kuni 2 have another surprise in store for fans. The original soundtrack of the game by composer Joe Hisaishi will be released on June 6th, 2018. The first edition of the Japanese version will arrive with a special sticker. It comes at a price of ¥3,300, which roughly converts to around $30. At the time of writing, no official information has been revealed regarding an international release.

The sales for Ni No Kuni 2 were probably bolstered due to it being the first Level-5 game to be released on the PC. JRPGs are rarely released for the PC since it has always dominated consoles in the past.
