EA Play will be returning this year from June 9th to June 11th, 2018. EA Play is EA’s very own dedicated event which takes place right before E3, one of gaming’s biggest events of the year.
EA Play 2018 will be held at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. EA started replacing its massive presence at E3 with EA Play convention beginning in 2016. According to EA, EA Play is “all about giving you early access to our games, listening to your feedback, and most importantly, having fun with some of the biggest games in the world.”
The three-day event will include hands-on experiences for attendees, while several of the biggest community creators in the world will be sharing early game footage. Live streams will also be available for anyone viewing the event remotely. At EA Play 2018, attendees will be able to play the next Battlefield game, as well as new EA Sports games and get a special inside look at Bioware’s upcoming game, Anthem. It is unclear whether or not Anthem will be playable at the event. Anthem‘s inclusion will be interesting, considering that EA recently postponed its release date to early 2019.
Additional games confirmed to be there include The Sims 4 and other unspecified mobile games. That’s not all as EA teases that there will be also a few surprises in store for attendees. Last year’s EA Play granted attendees the opportunity to try out Star Wars Battlefront 2, Battlefield 1‘s latest expansion, FIFA 18 and more. The event will offer not only games but music, art, food, and entertainment for everyone.
Entrance tickets will be free of charge. EA will be introducing a new ticketing system which grants attendees better hands-on access to their games during the event. Tickets will be available this Spring. Updates on available tickets and event schedules will arrive in the coming weeks and months leading to the event.
