Miyamoto Eager To Make New Zelda Title Inspired By Link To The Past

A Link to the Past is believed by many to be the best Zelda title of all time, and while all of you are wrong for feeling this way (Ocarina of Time takes the cake hands down!) Miyamoto wishes to do the SNES classic right by creating a completely original experience that is somehow tied to the game.

Speaking to Edge in a recent interview, Miyamoto shared his thoughts on what the future may hold for Zelda fans, as a new game inspired by the 2D classic is close to the top of his to do list. When asked about the possibility of porting A Link to the Past to the 3DS, Miyamoto responded by saying, "I think I'd be even more interested in creating something new maybe based on, or starting from, A Link to the Past. I think it's important to bring some really new software."

No arguments there big guy. New and original software is the name of the game, and I believe I speak for the entire Nintendo fan-base when I say that a completely new Link to the Past inpired title would be absolutely amazing.

Mr. Miyamoto, we're holding you to this one.
