Skyrim Getting Day One Patch

Bethesda recently confirmed that Skyrim will be getting its 1.1 patch before you can get started on the game. Through a forum post by Bethesda Community Manager Nick Breckon, it was made clear that the patch will be live by this Friday's release date.

The patch doesn't look like it's addressing anything too serious, supposedly only fixing "minor stability issues with the game and also some quest progression issues." The worst part about it is that after you rip off the precious plastic wrap at home with your grubby hands and eagerly shove the disc into your system, you'll have to wait a few more agonizing minutes for the patch to install before you can finally play.
