FFXIV: Stormblood Gets Hardware Benchmark Trailer, Shows Graphical Improvements

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is marching toward its June release where it’ll introduce new jobs, areas, and content to one of the world’s most popular MMOs.

As with prior Final Fantasy XIV releases, a pre-release benchmark trailer has become available for the Stormblood expansion. It serves two purposes. As a trailer it showcases story and gameplay content for anyone interested in the expansion. As a benchmark it tests the PC hardware of any player hoping to get an idea of how well their rig will be able to handle the game.

Stormblood has seen graphical advances since the era of A Realm Reborn and Heavensward. As part of this, there will be no PS3 version support.

Although the video can be seen above, if you plan on playing the expansion on PC, then you”ll want to download the full benchmark and run it. It is available here with a 1.9GB download size.

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood will officially release on PC and PS4 on June 20th. Though, Early Access will be provided for pre-orders on June 16th, immediately following E3 week.
