Watch: Mass Effect Andromeda’s Weapons And Combat Detailed

The looks we've been getting at Mass Effect: Andromeda have been progressively more revealing, and BioWare has lifted the veil even further with its latest video (above) on its combat system.

Going over various weapons and skills, BioWare promises "hundreds of combinations" you can use as you progress through the game. As was promised, the game is more fast-paced, with no pauses in the action.

The proliferation of the cover-shooting system was also on display. Rather than just being a series of chest-high walls, Ryder can use any object in the environment as protection in battle.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will release on March 21 in North America and March 23 in Europe, in what as in increasingly crowded month for gaming, not the least of which is due to the impending launch of the Nintendo Switch. The Switch is sure to eat up the bulk of the press coverage, and may also eat into sales, with gamers already shelling out big bucks for a console.
