Splatoon Worldwide Sales Surpass One Million

Worldwide sales for Nintendo's Wii U-exclusive third-person shooter Splatoon have surpassed the one million mark. 

According to Nintendo's announcement, this includes both retail and digital sales, with "thousands" of new players joining the fray each day. As far as the sales breakdown by territory goes, 230,000 copies were sold in Europe, while 368,000 can be attributed to those in North America, and 476,000 in Japan.
