Roy and Ryu Join the Fight in Super Smash Bros.

During today's Super Smash Bros. presentation, series creator Masahiro Sakurai confirmed that both Ryu from Street Fighter and Roy from the Fire Emblem series will be headed to Nintendo's popular fighting game for Wii U and 3DS. Both Roy and Ryu release alongside Lucas today for $3.99 each.

Additionally, Kirby's Dreamland stage from the original Nintendo 64 game is coming to both the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game. Other classic stages from the N64 game are in the works as well, and a Miiverse stage has been confirmed for release on the Wii U version.

A number of Mii Fighter costumes were revealed, too. Fans of Splatoon will be pleased to know they can dress up their fighter as an inkling boy or girl when the new content rolls out today.

Nintendo is holding its E3 Digital Event on Tuesday morning, so be sure to stay tuned to GameRevolution for all the exciting announcements.
