Blizzard Announces World of Warcraft Tokens

Blizzard plans to introduce WoW Tokens to World of Warcraft in the near future. They will provide a way for players to buy game time with hard-earned gold.

First, players can purchase WoW Tokens from the in-game shop with real money. Then they can sell those tokens at the Auction House for the current market price.

On the other side of the equation is the person who purchases WoW Tokens at the Auction House. Each purchased token is "Soulbound" to the recipient to avoid resale and grants 30 days of game time. Thus, WoW Tokens provide a new way to exchange gold for game time.

WoW Tokens will appear in the next patch for World of Warcraft. Those who are interested can take a look at the official FAQ for more information.
