Obsidian Entertainment’s latest game is a Fallout-esque RPG called The Outer Worlds. Set to release on October 25, 2019 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, there is noticeably one major player missing from the platform lineup. The Outer Worlds Switch release date seems to be coming at a later date, but just how late? Let’s take a look at the Nintendo Switch release date for The Outer Worlds and see when Switch players can get their hands on one of the hottest games of October.
When is The Outer Worlds Switch release date?
Unfortunately, The Outer Worlds Switch release date probably won’t be coming any time soon, as there hasn’t been an official day announced yet. Additionally, it’s unclear why the Switch release is being delayed, instead of launching with the other platforms. Thankfully, it has been confirmed that The Outer Worlds will be releasing on Switch eventually, it’s just going to be a matter of time. The port is also being handled by Virtuos, the team behind the Dark Souls, Final Fantasy 12, and L.A. Noire Switch ports.

If you keep up the latest releases, then you’ve probably heard about The Outer Worlds already. If not, it is a single-player RPG where your choices matter. You and your companions can help save the Halcyon colony or not, depending on the paths you take.
If you don’t want to wait and are a Xbox or PC player, you can try The Outer Worlds out on Game Pass at launch. In fact, Taco Bell just announced announced a partnership with Microsoft which offers 44 days free of Game Pass Ultimate. However, if you’re a Switch only player, you’re going to have to wait a little while to explore space. With the game’s launch on the other platforms just a few days away, hopefully we will get some information on the official Switch release date soon.
