To change suits in Spiderman 2, you simply have to press the touchpad on the PS5’s DualSense controller and press the R1 button to tab over to the Suits section. From here, you can pick from all of the suits you have unlocked and crafted. Most suits (the movie suits are the main exception) have three other variants, too. Just press X over the skin you want (and then X again to choose the variant if those are unlocked). Pressing L2 or R2 will swap you between Miles Morales and Peter Parker.

It is also not possible to change suits in the beginning of the game. Unlocking the ability takes a few missions and around an hour or so of gameplay. You’ll get the chance to after completing the objective called “Suit is Sandy” that tasks players with “[retrieving] a spare suit.” It will have Peter Parker complaining about needing a new suit, so this is even contextualized within the narrative.

However, almost every suits needs to be unlocked and crafted first. Many will be craftable after hitting a certain level threshold, while others will be given out for completing a certain chain of side quests or activities.

For example, getting to level 26 unlocks the ability to craft the Spider-Punk Suit for Peter. Meanwhile, doing all the Mysteriums unlocks the Smoke and Mirrors Suit for Miles. Unlocking the three extra color variants also often takes Tech Parts or tokens of some kind, but those usually aren’t expensive.
