Starfield Undiscovered Temples Bug Where Missing Can't Find Locate All Powers Vlad

Starfield Undiscovered Temples Bug: Can You Get Missing Temples?

Several issues with Starfield undiscovered temples have appeared. Sometimes the game will say that you have 3 or 4 undiscovered temples left, although you have located all 24 powers. But other times, Vlad will no longer reveal the location of any missing temples despite you having all of the artifacts that you need. In particular, there are playthroughs of new game plus where it seems impossible to collect all of the temples. Here’s whether or not you can get all of the undiscovered temples in Starfield.

Can you get all missing Starfield undiscovered temples?

It’s possible to get all missing undiscovered temples in your first playthrough of Starfield, from what we understand, though many players are having trouble finding all 24 temples in new game plus.

If you have all 24 powers in Starfield on your first playthrough and the game says that you have 3 undiscovered temples left, this is actually a bug. For some reason, the powers map still indicates that there are 3 missing temples when there are not. If you haven’t finished the main storyline yet, you need to do so to gain all of the artifacts you need to find all of their associated temples.

However, in new game plus, we’ve had instances where we were only able to find 20 or 21 temples in a single playthrough. One of these temples are locked behind Barrett’s companion quest, but that only takes care of one of the missing temples.

Looking through posts from other users on the Starfield Reddit, it’s unclear why this issue occurs. Some have explored every system on the map, but still did not find all of the temples, and speaking with Vlad does not prompt any new temple location, either. Even if you are diligent with finding all the temples before and after every main quest, there may be some left.

Our only recommendation at this point is not to skip the main quest on a NG+ runthrough if you really want to find every temple again, but that will take a lot of extra time if you want to upgrade the ship and spacesuit. And even then, doing the main quest over is no guarantee that this will solve the issue. We’ll have to see if Bethesda might be able to fix this with a later patch.

Starfield Temple Bug FAQ

Q: Can I locate all the undiscovered temples in my first playthrough of Starfield?

A: Yes, in your first playthrough of Starfield, it’s possible to find all missing undiscovered temples. However, if the game indicates you have 3 undiscovered temples left even after obtaining all 24 powers, this is a known bug. Completing the main storyline helps in acquiring all necessary artifacts to find their corresponding temples.

Q: I’m on a new game plus playthrough and can’t find all 24 temples. Why is this happening?

A: It’s been observed that in new game plus, players might only locate 20 or 21 temples. One missing temple is tied to Barrett’s companion quest. The reasons for the other missing temples are unclear, even after perusing discussions on the Starfield Reddit. Vlad might not always reveal new temple locations, and some temples may remain undiscovered even after thorough exploration and completing main quests.

Q: What should I do if I want to find every temple again in a NG+ run?

A: We recommend not skipping the main quest during a NG+ playthrough to increase your chances of finding every temple. However, redoing the main quest doesn’t guarantee finding all temples. We hope Bethesda addresses this issue in a future patch.
