Starfield XP Farm Best Exploit Glitch Farming Outposts

Starfield XP Farm: Best Exploit for Experience Points Grind

The best Starfield XP farm has surprisingly changed since the launch of the game. A new XP exploit now involves outposts and extracting minerals. Previously, one of the fastest ways to grind experience points and level up fast is to head to a planet in a high-level system and kill any creatures there. You can also use console commands to gain levels instantly, though that disables Achievements. With this new method, it will take a few hours getting all of the resources together and building a proper mineral outpost. But you will gain about 2,000 XP every two minutes or so if done properly. Here’s the best way to farm XP in Starfield without using a glitch or any mods.

What is the best Starfield XP farm?

The best Starfield XP farm involves building outposts on planets that will allow you to craft a ridiculous amount of isocentered magnets. Here is a series of steps you need to follow to get this XP grind to work:

  • Find a planet with Cobalt and Nickel – We recommend Venus in the Sol system due to how quickly time runs on the planet (more on that later).
  • Create an outpost location – Locate a spot where both cobalt and nickel can be extracted.
  • Purchase resources for extractors, storage crates, and adaptive frames – Find any store, like Jemison’s in New Atlantis, and buy all the minerals you need to make extractors and enough storage areas for the nickel and cobalt. You can refresh vendors to get all of the things you need.
  • Craft extractors – At your outpost location, set up extractors so that all of the cobalt and nickel will be sent directly to the storage boxes, which can be organized inside a frame. The extractors will requires tungsten, iron, and aluminum.
  • Create storage areas – You’ll want to make two separate storage areas, one for the cobalt and another for the nickel since their extraction rates are not the same. The “Storage – Solid – Large” module requires adaptive frames, iron, and aluminum.
  • Build bed and industrial workbench – Craft a habitation module with a simple cot and an industrial workbench.
  • Sleep for 12 hours – Not only will you get the Well-Rested buff to XP, but if the outpost has been set up properly, you will find that your storage crates are full of both resources. Sleeping on Venus has the advantage of having 1 local hour work out to 100 hours in UT time, which speeds up the process by a very high amount.
  • Craft a ton of isocentered magnets – At the industrial workbench, craft the magnets 99 items at a time. This will earn you about 100 XP with every batch. It takes 1 cobalt and 1 nickel to produce a single magnet.
  • Sleep again and repeat process – Once that’s done, you can sleep for 12 hours again and do it all over again for as much XP as you want. You can also sell all of the magnets for credits if you wish, though it may be faster just to drop them on the floor so that you are not over-encumbered.

Another variation of this method is to find a planet with iron and aluminum instead. The setup is the same, except that you will making adaptive frames instead of isocentered magnets for experience points.

That said, you may want to do this anyway because you need the adaptive frames to craft more storage. Either way, the amount of XP you’ll get from this method is staggering and offers a legitimate way to reach a high level in Starfield without having to resort to console commands or mods.

Starfield XP farming FAQ

Q: How has the best XP farming method in Starfield changed?

A: Previously, a popular way to gain experience points in Starfield was to visit high-level system planets and eliminate creatures. Now, the best method involves constructing mineral outposts to produce large quantities of isocentered magnets. If done right, this new approach can yield roughly 2,000 XP every couple of minutes.

Q: What steps should I follow to effectively farm XP using the mineral outpost method?

A: Start by locating a planet rich in Cobalt and Nickel, with Venus in the Sol system being a top recommendation. Establish an outpost where both these minerals can be extracted. Buy necessary resources from vendors and set up extractors to send minerals to storage crates. After setting up two separate storage areas for the minerals and constructing a habitation module with a bed and workbench, sleep for 12 hours. This will fill your storage, and on planets like Venus, time runs faster. Once awake, craft isocentered magnets at the workbench and sleep again to repeat the process. This approach lets you amass XP without relying on glitches or mods.

Q: Can I use a different combination of minerals for XP farming in Starfield?

A: Yes, an alternative to the Cobalt and Nickel method involves setting up on a planet abundant in iron and aluminum. The procedure remains largely the same, but instead of crafting isocentered magnets, you’ll produce adaptive frames. This not only earns you significant XP but also provides you with essential components for expanding your storage.
