Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Best Fishing Method Fish

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Best Fishing Method: Fastest Way to Fish

The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom best fishing method is all about using a specific game mechanic to save time. Since there’s no fishing rod in TotK, most players resort to arrows and bombs, or just swimming and catching fish by hand, but those are terribly slow or inefficient ways to catch fish. Luckily, there are several contenders for what is the fastest way to fish, and they aren’t too difficult to do. Here are the most efficient and quickest ways to fish in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

What is the best, fastest way to fish in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

The best and fastest way to fish in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is to use lightning attacks from one of two sources: the Yellow Chuchu Jelly or the Shock Emitter.

The Yellow Chuchu Jelly will be the easier method of the two, since these items are fairly common and create a huge radial blast of lightning that can catch a lot of fish at one time. Lob one of these lightning jellies into the water and you can easily pick up all the dead fish in one fell swoop.

Getting more Yellow Chuchu Jelly item drops is simple too. All it takes is getting regular Chuchu Jelly and hitting them with any lightning weapon to turn them into their Yellow variants.

The more ingenious method of catching fish is to build a simple raft with a fan for propulsion and a Shock Emitter attached to the front. For a small amount of energy, this will create a continual lightning burst of energy wherever you go that will catch a lot of fish. The video posted above shows how efficient this method is, particularly in the ocean where you can look for flocks of birds over the water to tell you where fish gather. It costs a bit to make this Shock Emitter raft, but this method gives you a lot of fish to sell for rupees.

You can find the Shock Emitter from various Zonai Device Dispensers throughout the game. We recommend going to the Mayam Shrine Device Dispenser in the Great Hyrule Forest Sky located at coordinates 0436, 2821, 1820.
