Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is there a fishing pole

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom How to Catch Fish: Is There a Fishing Pole?

Fishing has been an activity in several Zelda games, so you may wonder if there’s a fishing pole in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. After all, there’s plenty of fish around to cook, so why shouldn’t there be a way to catch them? Unfortunately, despite its deluge of content, this is one area in which Tears of the Kingdom disappoints.

Can you catch fish with a fishing pole in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

There isn’t a fishing pole in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. You can use food as bait, but catching them will have to be done by hand. So, unfortunately, if you want to catch fish, you’ll have to do so in one of these three ways:

  • Swim out and catch them by hand.
  • Use your bow to shoot them with arrows.
  • Use items (like bombs) to blow them out of the water.

While we all have fond memories of fishing in the pond in Ocarina of Time, it’s just not meant to be this time around. We’d love to see a fishing pole in Tears of the Kingdom, especially since it was also missing from Breath of the Wild. Hopefully, we’ll see it make a return in the next entry in the Zelda series. Unfortunately, in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Link will have to get more extreme if he wants to catch fish.

Now, find out how to unfuse your gear.
