Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Leak Leaked Switch

Did The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Leak?

A The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom leak is rumored to be going around, allowing players to emulate the game well before the official release date. While many Nintendo games tend to be leaked about a week or two before launch, Tears of the Kingdom is a premium title. Not only has Nintendo priced the game at $70, above the typical price for its high-profile games, but it has already taken swift legal action against leakers for the game. Here’s if The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom leak is real.

Has The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom leaked?

Yes, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom leak is real. The game has been leaked in various places and is also being streamed.

The leak for the upcoming Zelda game was shown being played on an emulator through a Discord server, with several screenshots of the stream having been posted. So many people joined the server in fact that it had to be shut down. Since then, others have been able to play and stream the game. As such, we recommend that you not try to seek out these streams if you don’t want spoilers ahead of the May 12 release date

It’s unclear how Nintendo will respond to this new leak, though evidence suggests that it will be severe. The publisher has already sent a subpoena to Discord in an attempt to discover the name of the leaker who originally disclosed the official art book for the game. Nintendo may do the same in this instance, considering how similar the circumstances are.

Back in February 2022, supposed images of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Switch OLED were revealed, but they turned out to be fake. Since then, this Zelda Switch has been officially revealed by Nintendo and costs $359.99 on the Nintendo eShop. This OLED model features a gold decal of the Hylian Crest on the front of the Switch dock, along with classic green and gold Joy-Con controllers.

A Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom trailer in mid-April also revealed Ganon as the villain in the game.
