Sons of the Forest New Boss Pufftons

Sons of the Forest New Boss Fight Location: Where to Find the Pufftons

Sons of the Forest gets a new boss in the latest patch: the Pufftons. These two spawn in the Food and Dining Bunker and prove formidable compared to their fellow mutants. We’ll show you the location where you can find them and how to beat them below.

Sons of the Forest Food and Dining Bunker Location Pufftons Boss

To get to the Pufftons mini-boss in Sons of the Forest, follow these steps:

  1. First, enter the Food and Dining Bunker, which is marked on the map above.
  2. Use the Maintenance Keycard to enter the first locked door.
  3. Explore the bunker until you find the VIP Keycard.
  4. Use the VIP Keycard to unlock the nearby double doors.
  5. Enter the dining area and move toward the back windows.

You’ll know the Puffton bosses have spawned when a line of text appears in the bottom left side of the screen that says, “Found the Puffton Family.”

These two are tough, but they don’t possess any special powers. They’re just tankier than regular mutants in Sons of the Forest. Both of them can take a few shotgun blasts to the head before dying, but they’re pretty skittish. Keep your distance; use ranged weapons, and they’ll go down quickly.

In the launch version of Sons of the Forest, you could find the bodies of these two in the same location. However, you could walk right past them without noticing. With the new approach, finding out what happened to the family you were sent to extract is much easier.
