Does Sons of the Forest Have Debug Commands?

Endnight’s Sons of the Forest is already shaping up to be a worthy successor to its prequel, The Forest, in which PC players could easily trigger debug commands and activate cheats to transform the island around them. While already proving itself to be a popular in-progress evolution of its predecessor, players who’ve beaten the current build of Sons of the Forest will likely be wondering if they can toy with the new game world or stick on god mode.

Can you enable console commands in Sons of the Forest on PC?

Players can enable console commands in Sons of the Forest, but it involves third-party mod managers. Within the game itself, there isn’t yet a way of entering console commands.

While it is unfortunate that the cannibal inhabitants in-game won’t be easily messed with, there’s hope yet for those eager to try a more roundabout method via modding.

If you’re handy with third-party mod manager software such as WeMod or Thunderstore Mod Manager, then you’ll find a number of debug and console mods that will grant you access to features and cheats like god mode, access to all items, or just spawning another Kelvin if you let him die too early.

With access to the debug menu, you can truly break the game to your heart’s content, but do note: it’s best to use them offline only so you don’t get yourself banned from multiplayer. For more Sons of the Forest content, check out whether it’ll be coming out on PS5, PS4, and Xbox consoles.
