Sons of the Forest Starting Locations Spawn Points

Sons of the Forest Starting Locations: Can You Spawn in Different Places?

There are three different starting locations in Sons of the Forest. Some of them make the start of the game a bit easier than others, but they’re all about equal in difficulty. Most players will spawn on the snowy mountain, but you can also start on the beach or the forest. However, the spawn locations aren’t so far apart that it makes a massive difference to your playthrough.

Can you choose your spawn point in Sons of the Forest?

Sons of the Forest Spawn Locations Map

We haven’t found a way to influence your spawn point in Sons of the Forest. Some players hypothesized that it depends on how quickly you read the briefing at the start of the game, but we can confirm that it doesn’t. We’ve tried about every combination of waiting through the intro, skipping it, closing the laptop early, and closing it late.

There are three starting locations in Sons of the Forest:

  • Beach
  • Forest
  • Mountain

However, the game seems heavily weighted toward the mountain spawn, so getting the other two to pop up can take a while. Don’t worry, though. Kelvin will spawn with you no matter where you start.

Additionally, it seems like the spawn point is locked in each time you launch Sons of the Forest. So, you have to restart the game each time you want to switch starting locations. However, this can take multiple tries, so keep at it.
