The Wordle answer 400 is now “POWER.”
“POWER” as a noun means “the ability or capacity to do something or act in a particular way,” “the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the course of events,” or “physical strength and force exerted by something or someone.” As a verb, it means to “supply (a device) with mechanical or electrical energy” or “move or travel with great speed or force.” (Definitions from Oxford Languages)
“POWER” shouldn’t be too tough for most players. The “O” and “E” are likely to be found pretty quickly, as most players incorporate a generous number of vowels into their starting guesses. The “R” is also common and should be found quickly. Then it’s just the “P” and the pesky “W,” both of which are likely to be found through the process of elimination.
For those struggling to find the right word, a good approach can be to try knocking out as many incorrect letters as possible with each new guess. Provided you aren’t playing on Hard Mode, which forces players to use confirmed guesses in all of the following attempts, it’s best to use each new guess to knock out as many potential letters as possible.
