Call of Duty: Vanguard players are bemoaning the game’s level of grenade spam. Recent entries in the CoD franchise feature the Trophy System, which serves as a hard counter to incoming explosives; at launch, however, there is no Call of Duty: Vanguard Trophy System. So, will Sledgehammer Games and Activision release a CoD: Vanguard grenade spam counter to stop constant frags and stuns? Here’s the latest on this piece of deployable equipment making its way to World War 2 (WW2).
Is there a Call of Duty: Vanguard Trophy System release date?
Call of Duty: Vanguard doesn’t feature a deployable Trophy System item at launch. It’s possible that an equivalent piece of equipment will arrive in a future CoD: Vanguard update, patch, or hotfix to help counter grenade spam in 2021 or 2022.
Vanguard is set during the Second World War, a period before the Trophy System came to exist. As a result, it seems unlikely that the developers will introduce an actual CoD: Vanguard Trophy System into the game. This instalment does take creative liberties within its multiplayer suite, though — there are already some weapons and optics that aren’t true to the period.
Keeping that in mind, a potential solution is to introduce a fictional alternative Trophy System in CoD: Vanguard. This could function in the same way for the benefit of gameplay, though be more aesthetically in keeping with the period’s tech. Then again, since the game already features undead zombies and colorful weapon camos, perhaps this isn’t a concern at all.
Whatever happens, be sure to stick with GameRevolution for updates on a potential Call of Duty: Vanguard Trophy System moving forward.
