Players have discovered a Call of Duty: Vanguard Atomic and Dark Aether camo glitch that allows them to instantly unlock both of these late-stage camos at any point, and have shared how to do so on social media. At the moment the Call of Duty: Vanguard camo exploit is only available to perform on the PC version, but it is embarrassingly easy to do so using both a mouse and gamepad — and works for both Dark Aether and Atomic camos on any gun in the game.
What is the Call of Duty Vanguard Atomic and Dark Aether camo exploit?
To unlock Dark Aether or Atomic camos for any gun in the PC version of Call of Duty: Vanguard, all players need to do is:
- Plug in an Xbox or PlayStation controller.
- Open up the locked camos list on any weapon they want to add the camo to.
- Make circular movements with the mouse and, at the same time, press the Left button on the D-pad and the Equip button — either A or X depending on which controller is attached.
- If done right, the camo should still show as locked but is now equipped on the weapon anyway.
Players should now be able to go into any match with the distinctive Dark Aether or Atomic camo attached to their weapons, despite them not being unlocked yet. Normally players would have to unlock every Gold and Diamond camo in Vanguard first to get these endgame camos, which takes a long time — so expect this glitch to get patched out very soon. It was spotted by player Liamtwiin, who helpfully posted how he did it on TikTok.
