GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition PC Game Pass

When is the GTA San Andreas: Definitive Edition PC Game Pass release time and date?

Plucked straight from the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition remaster collection, GTA: San Andreas is available now via Game Pass on Xbox Series X, Series S, and Xbox One. But, where does that leave Xbox Game Pass for PC subscribers? Is there a GTA: San Andreas – Definitive Edition PC Game Pass release time and date? Here’s the lowdown on this classic Grand Theft Auto game coming to the Xbox PC app for XGP subscribers.

Is GTA: San Andreas on Xbox Game Pass for PC?

GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition PC Game Pass

The Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas remaster is available via Game Pass on Xbox consoles. There is no GTA: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition PC Game Pass release time and date.

Unfortunately, the PC version of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is exclusive to the Rockstar Games Launcher. This means that the only way to play GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas is by purchasing the full collection via Rockstar Games’ own digital storefront.

In addition to impacting a Windows 10 (Win 10) Game Pass version of the game, this decision also means the remasters aren’t available elsewhere on computers.  There are no GTA Trilogy Steam, EGS, GOG, etc. versions of the remaster collection for PC gamers to choose between — it’s the R* Launcher or bust.

Controversially, the collection of remasters also neglects to include two key tie-in games. GTA: Vice City Stories and Liberty City Stories remasters don’t feature in the collection; this is despite them containing locations, characters, and context that crossover with and complement the three mainline games that comprise the package.

In better news, GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition doesn’t cut radio stations or music. This comes as a huge relief, as the soundtracks played a big part in making each game so enduring and iconic.
