In fact, Nintendo has tapped on the series’ back catalog of games for the newest release in a major way. It’s worth mentioning that many of the past Mario Party games were released for the Wii and Wii U, consoles with a strong emphasis on motion controls. However, using those motion controls could be tricky with the Switch Lite, which does not have detachable Joy-Cons. Thankfully for Switch Lite owners, Nintendo made sure to include button-based controls for each minigame.
