Far Cry 6 Update Patch Notes: Today, October 14

There’s a new Far Cry 6 update today, October 14. With the open-world FPS game still experiencing some teething issues this close to launch, many players are anticipating the full list of patch notes. Unfortunately, the Far Cry 6 update patch notes don’t make for very exciting reading this time around. Here’s every change in the new FC6 patch for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions of the game.

  • Xbox Series X|S — 600MB

The Far Cry 6 dev team confirmed the contents of its latest hotfix via Twitter. While it’s a positive change, there’s no rest for the developers just yet. Many of the replies include a laundry list of issues they’d like to see receive a patch; these include enemy respawns, third-person camera options, a Field of View (FoV) slider, and much more.

With many of the same issues being raised by multiple users, hopefully, Ubisoft will implement appropriate updates soon. A previous FC6 patch would address crashing and co-op errors, though the game still has some big issues. Perhaps the most significant of these is stutter, lag, and screen tearing that users are experiencing across a range of platforms.

While owners are seeking some in-game fixes, many Far Cry fans on PC are outright boycotting the latest entry due to the lack of a Steam version. A glance at the comments of this article reveals that numerous franchise fans are less than thrilled with the decision to only launch the PC port on the Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store.

In other news, Fortnite could be getting new Batman and Spider-Man crossovers soon.
