In the final Nintendo Direct stream with director Masahiro Sakurai on Smash Bros Ultimate, Sora was revealed along with many details. The release date of Sora in Super Smash Bros Ultimate is October 18 as part of Challenger Pack 11, where he will be available for $5.99.
Smash Ultimate Sora DLC abilities and moves
Here are all of Sora’s abilities and his moveset as a fighter in Smash Bros Ultimate:
- 3-Hit Combo — three quick attacks become a combo
- Magic — ‘B’ Neutral, three alternating magic attacks based on Firaga (quick fireballs), Blizzaga (ice attack), and Thundaga (row of lightning).
- Sonic Blade — Left/Right + B, three slide attacks in any direction.
- Aerial Sweet — Up + B, jump and twirl attack similar to Link’s.
- Counterattack — Down + B.
- Sealing the Keyhole — Final Smash.
Sora is described as a “relatively straightforward” fighter by Sakurai compared to some of the more elaborate fighters in Ultimate, so should be an easy character for most players to get the hang of. He is a specialist in air combat, with a floaty jump, although that makes him a lighter character.
