Pokemon Trading Card Game Live is an all-new way to play the Pokemon TCG digitally. It’s “coming soon” to PC, Mac, Android, and iPhone (iOS) which has Pokemon TCG Online players wondering about the future of their decks. So, is there a Pokemon TCG Live transfer cards feature? Will Pokemon TCG Online cards migrate to the new game? Here’s the need-to-know info on whether or not old cards work in the new Pokemon TCG app.
Do Pokemon TCG Online cards work in Pokemon TCG Live?
Yes, players’ Pokemon TCG Online cards will transfer over to the new Pokemon Trading Card Game Live application.
All cards from the Black & White, XY, Sun & Moon, and Sword & Shield series should work from day one. While other cards will migrate, they’ll only appear in the Deck Manager until fully implemented into the new version. As more cards receive support over time, players will be able to add them to decks and play them during matches.
Obviously, this is a huge relief to Pokemon Trading Card Game Online devotees. The Pokemon TCG Live transfer cards tool will do a lot to convince players that moving across to the new version is worthwhile. That said, migration would be inevitable regardless — according to The Pokemon Company, all players must migrate as “Pokemon TCG Online will eventually be retired.”
Any new cards that players acquire in Pokemon TCG Live should appear in the Deck Manager alongside the old migrated collection. With the Pokemon TCG Online catalog plus future Pokemon TCG Live exclusives, there are tons of cards for transitioning users to collect.
In other Pokemon TCG news, Rick and Morty crossover cards are taking the fandom by storm. Are they actually legit, though?
Elsewhere in gaming, the new Fortnite x Balenciaga collab features a dog wearing shades and a hoodie. Call of Duty: Vanguard will also bring back the series’ iconic Damascus camo weapon skin.
