Rick and Morty Pokemon cards are the latest trend to sweep the game

Rick and Morty have been a part of plenty of crossovers over the years, and there’s a new trend that has fans wondering if there’s a new collaboration to celebrate the end of season 5. Rick and Morty Pokemon cards have been making the rounds, and people understandably want to know if they’re official and where to buy them. We’ll take a look at whether or not Rick and Morty and Pokemon: TCG are having an official crossover event or not below.

Are there official Rick and Morty Pokemon cards, and where do you buy them?

Unfortunately, there’s no official crossover between Rick and Morty and Pokemon: Trading Card Game. Any Rick and Morty Pokemon cards are fanmade and not produced by The Pokemon Company.

There are some excellent-looking designs on places like Etsy with art that’s done well enough to confuse the cards with an official product. However, it’s easy to tell they’re not real cards because of how OP the attacks are on most of them. Additionally, there are so absolutely horrible efforts that are obviously fake.

The Pokemon Company is always careful to protect the franchise’s image as being kid-friendly. Despite being animated, Rick and Morty is created with an adult audience in mind. There’s absolutely no chance that Nintendo would want an old alcoholic narcissist and his creepy grandson associated with the likes of Pikachu and Eevee.

As much as fans might like it, Pickle Rick will never ride a Charizard while Jerry is assaulted by Ratatas and Pidgeys. Morty will never get his own Jynx to “hang out” with, and Rick will never cosplay as Giovanni and make his own “Team Ricket.”

Fortunately, for those who want Pokemon with a Rick and Morty twist, there’s Pocket Mortys. That’s about as close as fans will ever get to a crossover other than unofficial Pokemon cards made by fans.
