Is the iPhone 13 worth buying?

It’s always tempting to upgrade when a new iPhone debuts. However, it’s worth asking whether or not the iPhone 13 is worth buying. The answer will be different for everyone, especially when one factors in whether or not the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max are worth a purchase. Read on below to see if we think the iPhone 13 should be skipped or not.

Should I buy the iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro or Pro Max if I have an iPhone 12?

Is iPhone 13 worthy buying

None of the iPhone 13 models is a massive upgrade over the iPhone 12 line. In fact, in many regards, the iPhone 13 feels more like an iPhone 12s. Each iPhone 13 is just a little better than the device that proceeded it. Apple hasn’t introduced any major features in the new phones, and FOMO potential is pretty low this year.

The improvements can be boiled down to:

  • Better chip.
  • Bigger battery.
  • New and improved camera system.

Should I upgrade to the iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro or Pro Max if I have an iPhone 11 (or older)?

The iPhone 13 line is a much bigger upgrade for those who are using an iPhone 11 or older. However, the larger battery and improved screen might be enough alone to make users consider upgrading.

However, this again comes down to personal preference. Since iOS 15 is dropping support for phones older than the iPhone 6s, we recommend those with those older models upgrade to a newer iPhone if they want to continue to get feature updates. However, it’s likely that iOS 14 will continue to get security updates for a while, so there’s no imperative to update for those that don’t care about new features and hardware.
